Back to Poetry Back to Sipsydoodle!

did you ever

wish for something you
didn’t want but
somehow thought it
was what you
needed only to find
you are happiest
just letting butterflies
flit and float and hummingbirds
tremble and buzzing
cats purr sunning
themselves senseless
in the crevace of
the blinds where
slivers of life permeate,
slanted, proving once
more what you
always suspected:
that what you want
and need are two
entirely different
things.
